Green Gas DPB, a.s

Green Gas DPB is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Green Gas based in the Czech Republic. It offers a surface and underground drilling capability as well as mine gas production and distribution. The company distributes around 100 million m³ of CMM (100% methane concentration equivalent) from both abandoned and operating coal mines, for sale as a fuel and for the production of heat and electricity. Green Gas DPB conducts routine drilling for gas drainage, geothermal water, geological exploration and large diameter ventilation boreholes, supported by extensive laboratory facilities.

Geological services
 
Geological services encompass coal and gas reserves calculations, mine gas production forecasts, rock and coal seam outburst assessments, lab analyses related to coal & gas production, exploratory borehole design and evaluation, investigation of spontaneous mine gas emissions from old mine workings and devising preventative measures, geophysical and seismological services.

Gas drainage

Gas drainage design is the mainstay of our business. Our professionals take into account specific geological and technical conditions of any mine and tailor the design to suit its conditions. The client's requirements are taken fully into account. For some clients, the mine safety and increased productivity are of prime importance. For others, highest possible gas purity is the target so that the gas stream may be delivered to a gas pipeline network or processed in utilisation schemes such as combined heat and power (CHP) plants.

Our expert knowledge is enhanced by employing modern tools of the trade, from detailed analytical work to lab testing to state-of-the-art gas prediction and strata de-stressing modelling software.

Drilling services

Drilling services are fully integrated into our portfolio via our drilling division with an experienced staff of more than 70 engineers, technicians and drillers. We can offer a variety of drilling machines and techniques both for underground and surface applications. Besides cross-measure boreholes in front or behind longwall panels representing the majority of our activity, long sub-horizontal as well as surface boreholes are also on offer.

The Green Gas drilling shop not only services existing drilling machines and rigs, but is also fully capable of manufacturing and/or tailoring machines for specific conditions.

Our in-house skills and technologies give Green Gas a leading capability to optimise every aspect of mine gas emissions from mine safety to mine profitability.
