A 2.7 MW ‘coal mine gas’ to energy project where besides electricity generation also a 2.2 MW heat extraction unit is operated. The valuable heat is fed into the heat grid and utilized by an major energy supplier and has been designed and commissioned by Green Gas Germany.

Lazy

Installation of two CHP units on the premises of active carboniferous mine Lazy.

Installation of two CHP units on the premises of active carboniferous mine Lazy. This installation is part of a large project of CHP units installation which Green Gas implemented in the area of Ostrava-Karviná district. For engines running we used mine gas drained thanks to the gas drainage station, which ensures the coal mining safety. In 2012 there was a change in the gas pipeline connection distributing the mine gas from abandoned mines. Electricity is delivered into local distribution network and heat is delivered into the boiler-room for heating purposes of the mine premises.

Buttelborn

Green Gas Germany operates the Landfill Gas to Energy project since 2000 in the Hessen area.

Green Gas Germany operates the Landfill Gas to Energy project since 2000 in the Hessen area. Currently Green Gas operates one engine with a capacity of 501 kWel and arranges the distribution and marketing of the electricity generated. Due to lowering gas quality and reducing gas quantities over the recent years, Green Gas has downscaled the project based upon availability of gas resources from 717 kWel at the start of the project to currently one CHP with a capacity of 501kWel to the satisfaction of client and project partners. Furthermore, with the installation of its patened low-methane-kit, Green Gas Germany is able to utilize landfill gas with methane contents of less than 35% CH4.

Installation of two CHP units on the premises of active carboniferous mine ČSA. This installation is part of a large project of CHP units installation which Green Gas implemented in the area of Ostrava-Karviná district. For engines running we use gas from the central gas system delivering mine gas from active mines. Electricity is delivered into local distribution network and heat is delivered into the boiler-room for heating purposes of the mine premises.

Orlova

Installation of one CHP unit near the town square Orlová. This installation is part of a large project of CHP units installation which Green Gas implemented in the area of Ostrava-Karviná district. In this locality there was implemented a project to protect the area of Orlová town in face of coal mine methane spontaneous exit onto the surface which is not unfortunately a part of the project of CHP units installation. For engines running we use gas from the central gas system delivering mine gas from active mines. Electricity is delivered into the distribution network.

Green Gas Germany runs the complete Landfill Gas to Energy project nearby Leipzig, Sachsen-Anhalt.

Green Gas Germany runs the complete Landfill Gas to Energy project nearby Leipzig, Sachsen-Anhalt; including drainage, compression and operation of the CHP since 2004. Furthermore, Green Gas Germany arranges the distribution and marketing of the electricity generated. Due to lowering gas quality and reducing gas quantities over the recent years, Green Gas has downscaled the project based upon availability of gas resources from 738kWel at the start of the project to currently one CHP with a capacity of 469kWel to the satifisfaction of client and project partners. In 2012 Green Gas revitalized the project by installing its patented low methane kit developed by Green Gas Germany, which resulted in a continuation of the 469 kW CHP and an increase in electrical output to the satifisfaction of all involved!
